Thompson Woods Tennis Camps at Virginia Tech

General Camp Information

Each camper should bring:

  • Tennis Racket
  • Tennis Clothes
  • Tennis Shoes
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat or Visor
  • Water Bottle

Overnight Campers should also bring:

  • Twin Sheets - Blanket - Pillow
  • Towel/Washcloth
  • Casual Clothes
  • Money for evening activities

Lodging and Meals

Residential campers will be provided three meals per day in a Virginia
Tech dining hall. Lodging will be in a Virginia Tech dormitory. All rooms
are double occupancy. Roommate requests will be honored as long as
there are only two people per room. Counselors will provide 24 hour
supervision for all campers and camp activities.

Day Campers will attend camp from 9:00am until 4:00pm (or later if
they wish to participate in evening activities, additional fee for dinner
will apply), and will be provided lunch.

Evening Activities

Each evening there will be a different activity planned such as: bowling,
putt-putt, basketball, movies, game room, etc. The camp staff believes
outside activities are an important part of the camp experience and help
enrich each camper's social skills.

Medical Information

A qualified athletic trainer will be on duty at all times to administer to
minor injuries or sickness. Montgomery Regional Hospital facilites are
available for more serious problems. All campers MUST provide a copy of
their medical insurance information before arriving for check-in.
